But sustainable high performance still requires taking care of the people doing it.

What stood out most was how quickly the conversation moved from ideas to action. In just 50 minutes, the group surfaced real business friction, pressure-tested it, and started building practical paths forward. That is where AI becomes useful, not as a concept, but as a leadership tool. Grateful to be part of it and excited to carry this momentum into the next AI Practical Lab.

The Charrette-style session made it easy to move from discussion to something you can actually apply, which most lecture-style sessions struggle to do. I’ve also been thinking about Michael Grubich 's Objective–Strategy–Tactics point; it’s a practical anchor for making AI initiatives actually drive results instead of drifting into noise. Appreciate the space—definitely in for the next one.

Dirk Tussing - a key takeaway for me, is the importance of leaders at all levels not missing the moment we are in with AI skilling, to hold space for their teams to discuss how are we actually leaning into curiosity, how we’re instilling agency, and how we’re shifting from “we’re learning how to use the new tech to this is how I see AI changing the work.” A key difference with this approach is that it’s not about managing change better, it’s about shaping a culture of employees who are developing change-ready muscle to show up for the ongoing constant change. 🌱

What showed up in the worksheet is that this sits at the intersection of change management, leadership development, and coaching - all at once.

Out with static programs and the sage on the stage. Preparing AI Evangelists is about learning ties to moments that matter, personalized experiences often crafted by the learner or with the learner, and defining success by on the job outcomes not completion. It’s time to think capability systems not courses. Think outcomes not topics.

This year’s focus on culture and leadership in the age of AI gave us tools we can actually use. I'm proud to be part of a community that leads with intention.
