You might be the person doing the hardest, least-credited work in your organization right now. The pace isn't slowing down. You're being asked to change minds, redesign work, and deliver results — often without the budget or bandwidth to pull the right people together.

ELE was built for exactly this moment.

We match you with peer people leaders working through similar challenges, run a focused 90-minute Design Charrette, and you walk away with clear 30/60/90-day next steps.

Submit your challenge. ELE builds your cross-industry working team — you show up, contribute, and leave with a completed Signals-to-Action Planning Worksheet. At no cost to you.

See It in Action: From Real Challenge to 30/60/90 Plan — in 90 Minutes

Case Study — April 24, 2026 | Allstate Insurance

Lorna Malloy, Education Design Manager at Allstate Insurance, brought a challenge most people leaders recognize immediately:

"The business is moving fast, and leaders are pulled in multiple directions by competing priorities. There just isn't much space to really listen to teams. As a result, decisions are made with incomplete input, execution slows down, and trust erodes—especially during change."

ELE matched her with a cross-industry working team — Megan Bickle, Head of Talent Management at Rothy's, Marty Murrillo, Director Sales Enablement at Precisely, and a roundtable of ELE contributing members. Together, they moved the challenge through a structured Design Charrette: framing the business problem, working through signals and strategic choices, and building a completed Action Work Plan with specific 30/60/90-day leadership commitments.

Ninety minutes. One real challenge. A plan they could take back Monday.

That's the work ELE does — not content about leadership, but people leaders working through real problems together.

"We get through so much information in such a short amount of time — and the fact that we have something this tangible is impressive."Matt Sernaker, Lake Forest Center for Leadership

EXPERIENCE DESIGN CHARRETTE IN ACTION

Three roles. One real challenge. A safe space to challenge, contribute, and build the confidence to lead what's next.

Every Design Charrette starts with a real business challenge submitted by a people leader. A small cross-industry working team takes it from challenge to peer-powered decision — using the Signals-to-Action Planning Worksheet as the shared tool.

We facilitate with three personas:

Internal Client — bring your real challenge and get focused peer input

Strategist — help frame the problem and push toward practical next steps

Skeptic — ask the hard questions that move the room past assumptions

Design Charrettes run every other Friday and live at our Milwaukee and Chicago conferences.

FAQs

Everything you need to know before you submit your challenge.

What exactly is a complimentary Design Charrette?

It's a focused 90-minute peer exchange built around your real business challenge. ELE recruits a small cross-industry working group, facilitates the conversation, and you leave with a completed Signals-to-Action Planning Worksheet — including clear 30/60/90-day next steps.

What constitutes a "People Challenge"?

A top-of-mind business challenge where peer input can help you reframe or move forward. Strong examples include:

  • AI adoption stalling inside your organization
  • Strategy is clear but execution keeps breaking down
  • Leadership readiness gaps surfacing faster than you can address them
  • Operating model friction slowing decisions in a fast-moving market

If it's timely, complex, and benefits from outside perspective — it's a strong candidate.

Why is this complimentary?

This is how ELE works — contributing members bring real problems, the working group gets sharper, and everyone leaves with something useful.

For over 20 years, people leaders from organizations like Walgreens, Microsoft, and the American Medical Association have described ELE the same way: direct access to peers who give you a quick, relevant response — without the vendor noise. Kyle Swanson called it "quick, inexpensive, and high quality." Shane Bill said it's the first place he doesn't feel like he has to solve everything alone.

Design Charrettes are new to ELE — and intentionally so. As AI reshapes roles faster than most organizations can absorb, the complimentary offer exists for one reason: to make it easy for people leaders to stay connected to the work that matters and the peers who get it. Come see for yourself.

Who will be in the working group with me?

Experienced people leaders from outside your industry and organization — contributing members with no agenda except helping you think it through. ELE recruits and coordinates the team. You show up and contribute.

How do I get started?

Submit your challenge here — and check the box to Request a Complimentary Design Charrette. ELE reviews every submission and reaches out to confirm next steps — including matching you with a contributing member strategist and coordinating the working group. You show up, contribute, and leave with a completed Signals-to-Action Planning Worksheet.

What happens after I submit?

ELE reviews your challenge against three tracks:

  • Schedule — approved challenges are matched with a contributing member strategist and added to the upcoming Design Charrette calendar
  • Clarify — if we need more context, we'll schedule a brief Listening Meetup first
  • Redirect — if your challenge is better served elsewhere, we'll point you to the right resource on the Idea Exchange
How many complimentary Design Charrettes does ELE offer?

Two per month — prioritized for challenges with broad relevance or critical urgency given the pace of AI-driven change right now.

Can I participate without submitting a challenge?

Yes. Join as a Strategist or Skeptic in an upcoming Design Charrette and contribute to someone else's challenge. It's one of the fastest ways to experience how ELE works.

What does membership look like after this?

ELE Individual Plus membership gives you full access to the Talent Intelligence Community Platform — Design Charrettes, AI Practical Labs, Idea Exchange, Listening Meetups, Insights, and your ELEfolio.

The difference people leaders notice immediately: peer-driven intelligence in real time, from practitioners inside the work — not content that was relevant six months ago. The complimentary Design Charrette is your first real experience of what that looks like in practice.
